For her series One Person City, photographer nicoco has been taking photos of Shanghai that emphasize how deserted the city was due to the COVID-19 outbreak that has killed more than 1000 people in China.
The Highlight of the Week: Nightscapes by Jakob Wagner
Most of you probably already have seen this amazing project and many others that are created and presented by German photographer Jakob Wagner. After a short chat with him, we have decided to highlight his project on the website. Project “Nightscapes” highlights the beauty of various cities in the night. Photographer visited such cities as Shanghai, New York, Dubai, Los Angeles, Chicago, Manila, Cape Town and many more… He started the project in 2009 with a big goal to present as many night cities as he can; and here you go! Such a beauty!
Congratulations to China’s power couple Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming who recently got married. The couple have been dating since 2009 after meeting each other for the first time at a Karaoke party. Angelababy dreamed since childhood of getting married in a castle. Her dream finally became reality taking form into this absolutely beautiful fairytale wedding held at Shanghai Exhibition Center. Also she truly looks like a real princess in her crown and elegant wedding dress. We wish them a lifetime of happiness together!
- Why are you wearing these Japanese clothes for this exhibition opening? - That’s a very personal question, but I’ll answer it. My Japanese girlfriend got it made for me thirty years ago. - So at the opening of your exhibition at Shanghai Tower you’re missing your girlfriend from thirty years ago? - No. You don’t understand the point. We carry people whom we once loved throughout our whole live. It’s not like the next person kills the previous one. Love is layers. Like clay.
