as a white fan of the mcu, something that’s really disheartening to see after watching the most recent tfatws episode is the disparity between who’s talking about which scenes/lines. a lot of white creators & fans have been solely focusing on bucky’s line during the therapy scene but completely ignoring sam’s reaction to it all and his reasoning. not to mention i’ve only really seen black creators talk about isaiah bradley and the racial profiling scene. the major theme of the show is institutionalized racism and it’s meant to form a direct parallel to how the US is today, but white fans and white creators are shying away from or ignoring some of the most important scenes and lines just bc their white fav had one heartbreaking line. do better.

I’d just like to say that I wholeheartedly agree with what you’re saying and that people in the notes seem to be missing the point or straight up having a cry over the truth. It’s as simple as looking in the fatws tag and seeing most of the content be about Bucky and his trauma or scenes, it’s about how the most popular posts are buckys or how he’s the only one that trends on Twitter. It’s about how Sam’s story doesn’t get half the damn love that Buckys does. It’s the fucking truth. Simple.
