Another Bridgerton inspired dress. This one I made last summer and I was able to squeeze in a few new pictures this week.
This dress was inspired by a waistcoat and cravat combo worn by Benedict.
The navy blue bee embroidered waistcoat with a soft sage green cravat colors looked so well together.
the navy embroidered bee fabric was perfect for a Sleeveless Spencer that was popular about around 1798-1800.
This is the easiest costume I have ever made. Took a day to make the spencer and a day to make the dress.
This dress is the most comfortable thing I have ever made that I have worn it around the house
Sadly for me I have already seen another waistcoat and cravat combo that he wears that has caught my eye in the season 2 trailer. And yes I have already started looking for fabric.
This is the last batch of pictures from warden Surana. I think She may ride again after she gets even more jingle jangle scales sewn to her jacket and some work on her shoulder piece finished. (flamecon? renfaire? who knows).
My skin looked so good that day, the spirit gum held my ears on TIGHT, and nothing broke or fell off of me. Without my glasses on i couldn’t see that my pouch was open but WHATEVER.

I’m actually so very happy with the process and the effort put into this costume that I have nothing to critique myself on. I worked hard, and I can finally put this project to rest (though I’ll pull it out for future cons if I need something quick lol).

I haven’t worn jeans since I was extremely skinny. Like, size 2, count every single rib, etc. I live in yoga pants.
But I ordered some $15 black skinny jeans from Old Navy, & I’m actually pleasantly surprised. Their sizing is way off; these 14s are a little baggy, while I’m probably a 16 in most brands (43" hips). But I’m not complaining!
Anyway, what do you think?? Anyone wanna get me some tighter skinny jeans? I’d look good in red… lol
