Anthony Zinonos (@anthonyzinonos) describes himself as a sucker for construction paper. “I love the texture and simple colors that it comes in,” the collage artist who lives in Oakland, California, says. “It’s cheap and cheerful, and there is something nostalgic about it.” With it, Anthony creates minimal, fantastical landscapes for the figures he includes in his compositions — like this one, inspired by the Miu Miu (@miumiu) show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday. “Delicate people in epic landscapes is very much how I view my surroundings and how we as humans exist on this planet.”

Botanical Papercuts by Jesica Baldry

Jessica is a Bristol based artist who makes beautifully intricate handmade papercuts and botanical lasercuts. She also stocks a range of contemporary greetings cards and prints. Her unique designs are applied to prints and greetings cards by scanning in her original artwork at high resolutions. They are then printed onto high quality archival paper with a UK printing company.

Jessica especially enjoys the process of papercutting and is currently developing a new range of papercuts with a botanical theme. Each intricate piece starts as a sketch and is then cut from a single sheet of paper or from layers of textured pastel papers. Her original pieces are patiently cut entirely by hand, using a scalpel. A lot of time and care is put into these and because they are handmade each piece differs very slightly. Jessica also creates lasercut versions of some of her more popular designs so that she has time to work on exciting new ideas!

Her nature inspired papercuts and prints make lovely unique gifts for friends and family or beautiful additions to your home. She loves working on personal commissions so if you have something in mind you would like her to make as a special gift for someone, get in touch Here!

Papercraft Elsa! Last time I made her, I went with her Frozen II design, but for this one I decided I wanted to go for her original look. It had been a while since I got to use that transparent blue lace paper, after all, and her dress from the first movie is perfect for it! ❄️

This papercraft artwork is for sale, my lovelies! Swing a chat my way if you’re interested in snagging it.

A papercraft of the client’s characters, fighter Rook (armor and axe) and spellcaster Neista (FIREBALL)!

Y’all know I love characters with major height differences. And huge melee weapons. And that I love getting to cut out billowy, blazing special effects! So this one was just a total collection of delightful things. :D

A papercraft of Matthew Swift from the, well, Matthew Swift book series! His eyes had to be a bright, sort of electric-looking blue, so I ended up turning to my trusty highlighters for the base color. Highlighters are excellent for producing super-vivid color, but oddly enough, they don’t scan very well (maybe they’re too saturated?), so I always have to go back in with Photoshop and brighten the color back up to how it looks irl. I guess my scanner simply can’t handle the intensity!

Papercraft Aerith! She sold at Captain’s Comic Expo last month. I waffled back and forth on which FF7 character to make, since all their designs are very fun and Extremely Iconic, but… y’all know me, I love pink, so Aerith’s color scheme won me over. Plus she’s one of my favorites in the cast, so!

A XueXiao papercraft commission for @veliseraptor! Ahh, the good times for Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen in Yi City, before everything implodes horrifically all at once. Candy! Grocery shopping! The occasional recreational murder! Fixing up the house! Surely that all evens out into domestic bliss?

If you like Xue Yang and you like reading about dozens of different twists and turns and fascinating takes on the Yi City arc, please give Lise’s fics a read; they are delightful!

A papercraft commission made as a gift for the client’s friend, of their character Chihiro! I loved her design - I always enjoy working with white hair, especially when contrasted with bright, vibrant colors like her red cloak. Plus she’s got those amazing eyes! When I first finished the piece, I thought her eyes could use a little more sparkle, so I went back in with my pearlescent watercolors to make them shimmer. Those paints look best in person, but I think the scanner did manage to pick up on some of the glow ✧*:・

Modern Cultivation AU - Jiang Cheng and Lan Jingyi with Cupcake - from Intro to Dual Cultivation

I commissioned this gorgeous papercraft art from @yutaan back in early December for Intro to Dual Cultivation. While I gave her some pretty vague instructions, Yutaan read my mind or something and ended up illustrating a scene from Chapter 30 without either of us even meaning for it too! It was the perfect way to celebrate finishing the longest thing I’ve ever written. Thanks so much to @yutaan!!

It will go up with the final chapter today!

As described above, a papercraft commission illustrating a scene from Intro to Dual Cultivation, a delightful, recently-completed fic that I know many of you lovelies will enjoy!

Featured here are modern Jiang Cheng, Lan Jingyi, and huggable pettable pupper Cupcake. I love this trend of people commissioning me to make art of Jiang Cheng with dogs; what a wonderful turn of events!

The power to bring the world revolution.

Papercraft Anthy! I love her SO much and thus am always on the lookout for rose-patterned papers that I think would suit her. I saw this red-and-gold one a short while back and was so excited! It’s definitely my favorite one I’ve found.

This papercraft artwork is for sale, my lovelies! Swing a chat my way if you’re interested!

[EDIT] Sold!

A papercraft commission of Herlock Sholmes, Barok van Zieks, and a spooky smoky-looking hound (plus a lot of fancy roses) from The Great Ace Attorney! I haven’t been able to get to this game yet, but this piece got me very excited to do so. It looks like so much fun! :D

This piece had a lot going on, visually speaking, so balancing the different areas of the composition took a lot of nudging the various characters and design elements around bit by bit. It’s always the complex pieces that I end up being the most pleased with, though! The extra time taken makes it extra satisfying once everything is assembled and I can see the piece as a whole.
