It’s OK to want enby/intersex on your ID!
There’s differing opinions on the benefit of having the option to choose non-binary or intersex identifiers on your identification documents (driver license, birth certificate, etc).
But this is a reminder that it’s totally fine if you are excited to change your documents! You do not contribute to your own oppression by seeking an avenue that is validating your identity.
are we really doing this

The implication that these people think “human” doesn’t include nonbinary people is telling.
Friendly reminder that the words man and woman are not related in English. As in, woman did not take the word man and add ‘wo’ to it.
Man started out as werman in old English, and woman started out as wīfman. The ‘man’ bit in both of these words means person. The ‘wer’ bit in werman gave us words like ‘werewolf’ - literally man-wolf. The ‘wīf’ part eventually became the word ‘wife’. Over time the word man lost the ‘wer’ bit and the word ‘wīfman’ eventually morphed into the word woman.
This is a linguistics speed run, but it’s why those terfy things with the word man crossed out are so ridiculous to me. Like where they go “wo
man” “human” etc. Because they love to ignore that the word man existing in any context is not a threat to them. They even did this to cities like Manchester, England, claiming that the word ‘man’ in Manchester referred to men. It actually refers to breasts. The river Irwell in Manchester used to be known to the Celts as ‘Mamm’, meaning breast and probably relating to a river goddess. The Romans got there, asked the locals what they call it, and then added ‘castrum’, for fort. As the Romans built a fort down in modern day Castlefield. Mammcastrum became Manchester over time.
So yeah, I don’t even trust benign popular feminist ‘activism’ that goes around performatively removing the word man from things, because most often, it has nothing to do with the gender of man, and it just a word that happens to include those three letters. Yknow. Instead of helping vulnerable women, TERFs love to pretend they’re doing something smart by editing words with man in them.
Ramble over but that’s my ten cents
all very good info but can we go back to the part where Manchester means BREAST FORT???!

“Carolyn Meiller is working on her dissertation project looking at sexual pleasure for curvy, queer, women. […] Because research on curvy, queer, women is limited, and when focuses on sex mostly focuses on the negative aspects of sex, I am hoping to raise the varied experiences curvy, queer, women have with sex and sexual pleasure. I hope this data will be used to create a theory for how identity, societal messages, and other external forces influence the experiences of pleasure for curvy, queer, women. Furthermore, I hope this research will be used to further promote sexual health, justice, and fair treatment for curvy, queer, women in medical and mental health settings. Individuals who participate in interviews will receive $20 to compensate them for their time. I appreciate any help you can provide!”
Friendly reminder, if you see a “straight” couple at pridethis year.
- One or both of them might be bi or pan
- One or both of them might be trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, genderfluid, asexual, etc.
- You cannot tell someone’s gender or sexuality by just looking at them
- They could be there as an ally/supporting a friend
- Mind you own fucking business

More Americans are identifying as LGBT on college applications in order to gain perceived advantages in admissions processes.
A recent study in the New England Journal of Irreproducible Results has found that there has been a sharp increase in high school students identifying as LGBT solely to reap the affirmative action benefits in college admissions. This is especially true for white male applicants, who feel it’s the only way to mitigate their whiteness and maleness which are seen as disadvantages.
“A white male has to have a perfect 4.0 and several outstanding extra-curriculars [sic] just to have a chance to get into UVA,” bemoaned one mother, a teacher in Fluvanna County, VA, “I was told my son didn’t have a shot because even though he has the 4.0, we’re rich, and UVA simply isn’t looking for those kinds of students.” She encouraged her son to write in his essay that he is genderfluid and on the ace spectrum.
“I don’t like to think of my son having sex and I don’t like that genderqueer as ‘queer’ in it, so I felt this was the lest bad of all worlds.”When reached for comment, the University of Virginia said that they have no such formal admissions standards, and that the average GPA for incoming freshmen is 4.23, based on weighted GPAs and a 660-680 in each of the SAT categories.
“Perhaps if her son had worked harder in high school, he wouldn’t have had to attend George Mason,” the admissions officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, observed.
The Trump administration has recently addressed the concerns of white people everywhere, promising a fair and balanced affirmative action program that would positively weight citizenship and performance and only give slight preference to income and breeding.
“It’s time to put the ‘American’ back into ‘American University’,” said alt-Right leader, Richard Spencer, “It’s time to end reverse-racism and reverse-sexism. And, yes, it’s racism because affirmative action is institutionalized prejudice. QED,” he added brightly.
It remains to be seen whether the Trump administration will be able to, much less interested in, following-through on any of its promises.
