One of the many weird things that Mr. IO and I do is occasionally act like we’re starting a serious conversation about our cat and our parenting skills. Such as:
“When do you think we should tell Involuntary Kitty she’s adopted?”
“Do you think it’s time to talk to her about the birds and the bees?”
“Should we have been sending Involuntary Kitty to Hebrew school?”
“Do you think we give her enough praise?”
“Should we raise Involuntary Kitty’s allowance?”
“You know, I think we should give her more responsibilities around the house.”
I’m all for cats being given more responsibilities. If only they would pull their damn weight. Is a bit of dusting too much to ask for?
OMG! Involuntary Kitty! <3 I wish Involuntary Kitty, ATAK and Nox could have a play date.

That’s settled, then. Our cats will have an epic playdate. Involuntary Kitty will bite all of your cats in an attempt to socialize and then spend the rest of the time sleeping, because she is the cat equivalent of the kid in kindergarten who eats paste.
But wait! Who was it then who owns an Arthur the Actual Cat?
That would be kate2kat, although I’m not sure if he’s been promoted from Kitten to Cat yet.
ATAK has not quite reached the age of being ATAC. soon though. He’s still a silly kitten. At the play date, I hope he shares his toys, but he’s pretty possessive of his Rat.
