GUYZ - ARASHI

GUYZ is actually a Korean band which had been flying under the radar since 1998. 

The thing that makes them intersecting is that although they are Korean, they have that typically J-Rock feel about them (note the difference between J-Rock and Visual Kei). They have also expressed interest and are attempting a break into the Japanese market.

GUYZ has released at least 6 singles and appeared on OST tracks for a few animes’, such as BLEACH and the popular drama 101st Proposal.

Gackt Camui (Okabe Satoru)
Active: 1994 - Current.
D.O.B: July 4, 1973 (Rumoured, though not confirmed by the man himself.)

Gackts career started in 1994 when he and You Kurosaki formed a band called “Cains”, though he left a year later to join Malice Mizer in 1995.
He continued with this band until 1999, seeing success money and fame, brought it’s own problems among the band. It was then Gackt decided he would launch his solo career.

Since the launch of his solo career, Gackt had worked alongside many of the great artist of Japan, and other asian countries. This has seen him breaking into film, writing, voiceovers and composing.

In 2003, the artist worked on his movie “Moon Child” along with fellow musician Hyde. Writing the scripts, performing his own action scenes and music. The film was released April 9th and also played at film festivals, such as “Cannes Film Festival”

2008 saw the male filming his first international film “Bunraku” alongside Josh Hartnett, Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson and Kevin McKidd.

2013 bring Gackt’s first national tour in 4 years “Best of the Best Vol 1” which starts May 11th.
