No for real this is a modern comedy, especially if you watch till the end of the actual stream Ren says “good boy” to Obi multiple times, random cars drive past, squeaky door noises, you can HEAR Ren sit down and play Minecraft again after a break. He pulls up False’s stream instead of the lofi beats he has been unknowingly using as ASMR for the last hour, aaaand she’s talking about peanut butter, because of course she is. Then Ren continues his usual business of mining amethyst, and I’m fucking losing it over False’s passionate peanut butter discussion in the background. You can see the progress bar is nearing the end, you know things are going to happen, and the sense of anticipation is killing me. This is absolutely ridiculous. Then False’s chat tells her to ask Ren to stop streaming, she’s confused and reaches for her phone to check, Ren panics and SMASHES that escape button… the comedic timing is IMPECCABLE. wtf im in tears
btw this is also the stream in which ren says false always tells him when mcc sign ups are available and that he doesn’t have the capability to manage himself. foreshadowing at its best
To give my thoughts on Swedengate, as a Canadian, it is absolutely unthinkable that I would have a friend over as a kid and my parents NOT have them eat dinner with us. Absolutely unthinkable.
I love Obi-Wan to pieces, and yet I can’t explain how he is basically a legend, one of the most wanted people by the Empire, the entire GALAXY is probably completely covered by posters of his face at this point… but NO ONE, ESPECIALLY the stormtroopers, can seem to recognize him.
When in reality the moment he’s on sight they should all just go:

Like the “I love you” scenes, those weren’t loving messages to be passed on to their partner, those were dying confessions in which they finally admitted their feelings.
And no one caught on to this. Everyone assumed they were dating, and they’re all baffled when Zane, after years of living with this girl, is like “guys… I think I’m gonna tell Pixal I like her.”
ok so there’s a game me and my friends play called “don’t get me started” and basically someone gives another person a random topic and they have to go on an angry rant about it and it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to us at parties and car rides so I highly recommend playing sometimes with your friends
I love this idea. We used to do things like this in Improv.
Related game: “THINK ABOUT IT.” You’re given a random topic, and your job is to build it into an epic conspiracy theory, the crazier the better. You end your rant with a serious face and the command that your listeners “Think about it.”
Another related game: Illuninati. Similar to Think About It except you are given 2 completely different topics and you have to connect them to each other in a wild conspiracy rant

me and my friends play “World’s Greatest Expert” where one of the other players says “Hey, I heard you’re the world’s greatest expert on ____” and you have to give an in depth (and probably completely false) lecture about the thing you’re the greatest expert on. Other players are allowed to ask you questions.
The version I learned was ‘Ah Yes’ in which someone gives you a work of art or famous landmark and you go “Ah Yes, the ____” in a posh accent while making up the most wildly inaccurate history of the topic. Bonus points for how hard everyone laughs.
boom sonadow is so funny cause unlike mainline sonadow where there’s all these deep and meaningful connections and history between them, in boom they’re just 2 dudes who fight in a dennys parking lot every once in a while
Sam Raimi just gets it. He’s got this handsome friend that he teams up with to make movies and shit and he’s like “oh I want to see my good good buddy Bruce covered in blood and knocked around for a little bit. Someone drop a bookshelf on him, for the movie.” Like yeah dude that’s rad af. I love seeing your good good buddy Bruce Campbell do slapstick comedy, it’s even better when he does it covered in blood while getting wailed on by every dude in a costume as you can fit in a little cabin in Michigan. Keep up the good work. Get him Sam get his ass!
