“Hey. Stop that you mutt.”
Poking your head around the doorframe you glanced over to see if you needed to intervene. The vampire in your living room had his hands on his hips, staring down at your puppy.
“Don’t yell at him,” you scolded lightly, turning back to the dinner you were making.
“That’s a six hundred dollar shoe he’s chewing up.”
“One shoe or was it six hundred for the pair?”
“Does it matter?” You heard a scuffle and sighed.
Max and Junior had not exactly been getting along. They didn’t not get along, there hadn’t been any casualties yet. But also…
Well the trouble was…
Juniorloved Max. Loved everything about Max. Loved his smell and his hair. Loved to snuggle under his arm and bat his big brown eyes up at Max. The dog was spending half his life sprawled on his back in the hope that Max might pet his tummy.
He once ran all the way to school because his bus was late and he was so bored with waiting that he needed something to do. He once biked across town to go to a store that was open one hour earlier than the one in his neighbourhood because he wanted to get a game that just came out even sooner than he would’ve gotten it otherwise. And he’s incredibly impatient when it comes to Nina.
