I don’t think people talk about how great Loretta Stinson is. I mean, instead of telling her son the truth and making him feel bad, she told him that he was simply too good for the team, and offered to play in the backyard with him. When no one came to Barney’s 8th birthday party, she wrote him a letter from the “postmaster general” explaining why his classmates hadn’t come. Hell, she even dressed up as Santa Claus so that her boys would feel special and believe in the magic of Christmas. Say what you will about Loretta Stinson, but she is one hell of a mom.
