Happy birthday to indie music darling Hope Sandoval, born on this day in 1966. She’s best known as the singer of dream pop faves Mazzy Star and for her work with the Warm Inventions, but my favorite song is “The Spoils,” a gorgeous collaboration with trip hop maestros Massive Attack.
