People complain about the “Harry did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?” scene in the films which fair enough but honestly us Snape fans were robbed of so much. The “ironic bow” to Umbridge, the “or maybe, he’s waiting to see why you two didn’t arrive on the school train” and the poetry! The goddamn poetry! The man is a poetic comedian and we were robbed.

I swear. Snape has so many good scenes/lines in the books and we were deadass robbed. People think that they know Snape fans so well but they don’t realize that there are so many reasons to love this character besides the obvious ones. When I say he is the funniest person in the books I mean that with my whole chest. I wouldve sold half the eggs in my ovaries to see this scene in the movies:

“Oh, very good,” interrupted Snape, his lip curling. “Yes, it is easy to see that nearly six years of magical education have not been wasted on you, Potter. Ghosts are transparent.

You had done your best to stay under the radar whilst going through your time at Hogwarts, something that your now boyfriend, Fred, never did. He was known by all due to all of the pranks that he and his twin did, without the notoriety of the Weasleys as a long running family at the school. It was hard to not know who Fred was, but you found it surprising when he knew that you even existed, let alone knew anything else about you. It became even more surprising when you started to get to know each other personally and fell for one another. On the surface you seemed like an unlikely couple, but you actually had a lot in common and got along well, and your relationship had extended past graduation, you now sharing a flat with him close by the shop that he and his twin owned.

The two of you had the day of from the shop, leaving you both to relax at home, doing nothing much of anything. You were popping on the kettle to make you both a cup of tea when Fred entered the kitchen as well. He came up behind you and leant down to press a kiss to the top of your head. You appreciated the gesture as you put the teabags into the two mugs but became distracted when you heard Fred laughing behind you.

“What’s so funny?” You questioned, not looking up from the tea making.

“I don’t know how I’ve never realised how short you are,” he chuckled. “I think I just hurt my back having to bend down so much to kiss you.”

You span around to shoot him a glare.

“I don’t appreciate that,” you frowned. “It’s not my fault you’re a tall git.”

“I’m not that tall, but you are very short.”

You jutted out your lower lip in a dramatic pout. “I’m not short, I’m adorable.”

“You are adorable, but you are also very short.”

You playfully shoved his shoulder before turning back to the boiled kettle. You had to muster up the willpower to not tip it over his head but instead pour it into the mugs over the teabags and milk.

Fred leaned down to press a kiss to your cheek, letting out a loud groan as he stood back up straight, gaining an elbow to the stomach as payback for his comments around your height.

You stirred the teabags, removing them from the mugs.

“Drink your tea before it ends up on your head.”

He picked up his mug. “Like you could reach.”

When you began helping Fred and George with the shop, you were pleasantly surprised by how business savvy they were, happily doing all the boring behind the scenes work in hand with the fun testing of new products. You had half expected them to pile all the boring financial work onto you as Fred’s girlfriend who was being paid mainly in kindness than galleons.

The productivity did wane with time, as was expected. The excited glow was dimming, leaving the reality of owning their own business at the forefront of everyone’s minds. They were doing their best to stay on top of the work, but as everyone did, sometimes the work dulled on for too long and you needed an escape.

You had entered the back office of the shop to pop by and say hello to your boyfriend whilst he was meant to be filing paperwork and filling in the order forms for suppliers that had meant to be sent off yesterday. When you saw the redhead, he looked as though he was struggling to keep his eyes open, the quill in his hand beginning to fall from his fingertips.

“Are you okay?” You asked.

Fred’s head snapped up, excited to see you there for even a second of a break from the work he was meant to be doing.

“Y/N, I’m so glad you’re here,” he beamed, opening his arms for you.

You happily obliged, plonking yourself down on his lap for a quick hug, not wanting to be getting in the way of what was needed.

“I wish you were always this happy to see me,” you laughed, playfully shoving his shoulder.

Fred rolled his eyes. When you went to stand back up, having expected this to be just a flying visit, his arms tightened around you, forbidding you from escaping.

“Very funny,” you chuckled. “But I also have work to do, and this paperwork isn’t going to finish itself.”

He dramatically jutted out his lower lip, attempting to look as pathetic and pitiful as he possibly could. “Can we just cuddle and pretend we have nothing to do?”

You offered him a sympathetic smile as you leaned in to press a kiss to his forehead. You pulled at his arms and escaped the embrace, only gaining a more pathetically sad expression from Fred.

“Or you could finish your work and then we can cuddle?”

Before he could argue any further, you fled the office to leave him to his work.

In the four years you had been at Hogwarts, you had gotten to know Dean Thomas relatively well. You had shared many classes across the years, and you would consider yourself friends, even if you wanted there to be something more between the two of you than just friendship. You were interested in him, but you weren’t willing to hurt the friendship that you had, in fear that he wouldn’t like you in return, leaving you in a rather awkward situation whilst both being at the same boarding school for a few more years.

You had been sat in the courtyard one Saturday reading, when you noticed Dean enter it as well. He sat far from you, pulling out his sketchbook and a pencil, drawing in silence, often peering up towards you. You tried to act as though you didn’t notice him or that he was looking at you, but both of you struggled not being obvious in your staring. Once you had finished your chapter, you slipped your bookmark onto the page, mustering up all the courage you could and making your way across the courtyard towards Dean.

As soon as he saw you getting closer to him, he held the sketchbook close to his chest, giving you a nervous smile.

“Hi,” you smiled warmly. “How are you?”

“I’m okay,” he said, trying to quickly flip the cover of his sketchbook over his current drawing, before you could see it, but he wasn’t quick enough.

Before he was able to cover it up, you had seen a beautiful sketch of yourself. It didn’t look finished, but what was on the page looked far better than anything you could have drawn, or anything you would have felt like you deserved drawn of yourself.

“Did you draw me?” You asked.

“No,” he stated, but as you pushed the cover out of the way again to reveal the picture properly this time, he realised he couldn’t lie. “Maybe.”

“That’s amazing,” you smiled. “You’re really talented, but why would you want to draw me?”

He bit his lower lip, nervous for you to having seen his drawing in general, especially one that he’d done of you, but seen as you were beaming at his art, the nerves settled slightly.

“When I see something or someone beautiful, I need to draw them.”

Your cheeks grew rosy as you felt flustered by the compliment.

“You find me beautiful?” You laughed, expecting it to be a joke.

“Of course I do, you’re the most beautiful person I have ever seen.”

You had helped bring the dragons to Hogwarts for the Triwizard tournament seen as you worked with your husband, Charlie, in Romania, caring for them. The two of you had kept with the dragons, keeping them calm in the cramped conditions they were forced to stay in whilst you waited for the first challenge. No one involved in the tournament was meant to know that dragons were involved but seen as Hagrid had brought Madam Maxime to meet the dragons, there seemed to be a break to the rules.

“Really romantic date, Hagrid,” Charlie scoffed as he looked at the Beauxbatons headmistress and the groundskeeper of Hogwarts.

You shot your husband an unimpressed look, not knowing how he could make a comment such as that with his track record.

“Do you even remember our first date?” You questioned. “This isn’t romantic but taking me to pick up an illegal dragon in Scotland and sneak them into Romania, is considered romantic.”

Charlie rolled his eyes. The two of you had been friends for quite a while and finally admitted that you liked each other and decided to go on a date when he was called for the illegal actions. A date had finally been arranged and you were just about to go out for dinner when he was contacted to help smuggle a dragon to save it and the current owners from prosecution for being illegally in the UK. You hadn’t been back to Hogwarts since you graduated but there you were back at school, helping your date smuggle a dragon across borders.

“I wouldn’t say that it was romantic, but it was definitely endearing, wasn’t it?”

Sometimes Charlie annoyed you, especially when he was right, and you didn’t want him to be.

“I’m pretty sure it’s the only reason I married you, love,” you retorted.

Charlie playfully shoved your shoulder, making you stumble slightly in your place. Even if he was infuriating, you wouldn’t have married him if you didn’t love him dearly. Thanks to him and your job, which he had helped you get into as well, there certainly wasn’t a boring day and you couldn’t thank him more for making life far more interesting than the impending war that was starting to consume your every thought.

“You know that isn’t true,” he stated. “You also wanted a job working with dragons.”

You chuckled at your husband. “That was also helpful.”

For as long as Bill had known you, he knew that you were deeply in love with cats and desperately wanted to have one in your life. It hadn’t been in the cards for a while, but now that you had a safe environment to have a cat, he finally agreed to let you have a kitten. It was a joyous moment for you, and within the hour of him letting you know that you could get a kitten, you found one that you could adopt and had already filled in the paperwork. It took a short while to get all the paperwork sorted but the time came to where you could go and pick up your kitten and bring them home to their forever home.

In the meantime, you had filled the house with everything a kitten could ever want or need, to Bill’s dismay due to the amount of supplies you had bought. The two of you were on different ends of the spectrum of excitement for the kitten, but he was still happy for the sake of your happiness.

You went to collect the kitten, and excitedly brought them home where Bill had been waiting.

“This is your forever home,” you explained to the kitten who was still in the open carrier, given the opportunity to leave into the spare bedroom where they would settle in at first before being given free rein of the house. “And this is your adoptive father.”

You gestured to your boyfriend who didn’t seem nearly as excited about the small creature that now shared your home.

“I’m not referring to myself as its dad,” Bill stated.

You rolled your eyes at Bill.

“Don’t be a spoil sport,” you frowned, playfully. “Isn’t this the happiest moment of your life?”

Bill chuckled. “I wouldn’t say this is the happiest moment of my lie. Once I found a galleon in my coat pocket and it was amazing.”

You shot him a glare before turning back your attention to the kitten that was starting to find its way out of the carrier to explore its new home.

“Now don’t you worry,” you said to your new fur child. “He doesn’t really mean it, I’m sure that he will fall in love with you soon enough.”

Bill rested a hand on your back as he pulled you in closer to him for a hug.

“As long as the kitten makes you happy, then I’m happy.”
