Both Laura Palmer and Lil the Dancer use hidden codes to give information. The Little Man From Another Place (MIKE) tells Cooper that Laura Palmer’s spirit is his “cousin” in the television series and Gordon Cole tells Chet Desmond that Lil is his “mother’s sister’s girl”–aka, his cousin–inFire Walk with Me.Both scenes are connected and both characters share a similar role in aiding both Dale Cooper and Chet Desmond’s cases.
