I painted this personalized digital cartoon portrait for a client from the United States.
During the process I got to know each member of the family better (their expressions, gestures, hobbies, likes and dislikes, eye color, …), one stroke at a time.
This is a large-canvas, high-DPI painting which my patron printed on a 60x60 cm canvas (Giclee print) and is now, as I’m writing these lines, looking for a place to hang it!

Daughters of Edward Darley Boit (1882) by John Singer Sargent (American, 1856 - 1925). Four-year-old Julia, sits on the floor, eight-year-old Mary Louisa stands on the left, Jane, aged twelve, and Florence, fourteen, stand in the background.
The family donated the painting - and later the vases - to the gallery.
