It’s just not fair what happens to women. The minute we get a little bit of fame, or show the slightest amount of ambition, we get slapped with the nastiest comments. We get these targets on our backs. Well, I say to hell with all of that. You go out there and you own this.

Don’t you like being lost? Lost is how I feel now when I sit down to write. All I see is a blank piece of paper staring back at me. That doesn’t sound like being lost. That sounds like being all too aware of yourself and the noisy world around you. I’m talking about being so focused on something that you disappear into it. You lose track of time, space, and people. It’s just you and your flow. Surely you’ve experienced that? I have. But I don’t anymore. Then you need to get lost. Totally lost.
