And Pokenatural because I still have a lot of ideas for these fusions! Today is Claire Novak, daughter of Castiel’s vessel’s Jimmy, who despite the attempts of everyone in her life has become a great hunter… with her Cubone that understands very well the pain of losing your parents when young.

In a weird case, Claire didn’t catch her Cubone. Instead, this little fella saw her alone and suffering after she escaped her gramma’s and started following her everyone. Claire wasn’t happy originally, and even refused to call him anything but “you” or “dude” because she though he’d left her like everyone else in her life, but the Cubone stayed.

Only Kaira knows that now, the Cubone’s name is Dean.

Claire finds John’s old leather coat–because it’s always been John’s, even after 20+ years–in the trunk of the impala while snooping trying to find some holy water. She puts it on and it doesn’t fit; it’s too big in the shoulders, the cuffs brush the backs of her hands, but that’s kind of cool these days. Dean won’t mind, anyway–it’s not the first thing to migrate from his closet to hers over the years.

Dean notices in about thirty seconds and, it turns out, clearly doesmind. “What?” she says, in response to his furrowed brow, and shrugs. “I got cold. Got your water, by the way.” She tosses the vial, and Dean fumbles to catch it.

What he wantsto say is absolutely not and don’t touch that. He wants to say that’s not yours. He wants to say that’s too big on you.

That’s what John had said, the first time Dean grabbed the coat off the hook on his way to school, equal parts rebellion and wanting to seem cool in front of his old man. It’s too big in the shoulders. And then, even worse, maybe you’ll grow into it. He’d tried for damn near 15 years before giving up on that, taking it off, and never looking back.

So he looks at Claire, and the jacket is even bigger on her but she’s older, now, than he was when he started wearing it, and he thinks maybe. Maybe she can wear it better.

He nods. “Looks good, kid.” Crosses the room and pats her on the shoulder. “Take good care of it, alright?” Claire nods. She smiles.

The next time he sees it she’s covered it in pins, jammed a pride pin straight through the leather collar. It’s so far outside John’s definition of take good care of it that all he can do it laugh. He adds ‘more pins for Claire’ to his gift list. 

Also…I really don’t care about a John and Mary prequel. Especially since their entire relationship is toxic and only happened because heaven wanted their children to fulfill a divine prophecy….ANYWAY

Actual Good Ideas (imo):

• A show centering around Claire Novak and her hunting adventures (bring back characters like Jody, Alex, Eileen, Patience, maybe even Sam or Castiel for an episode because technically they’d still be alive)
• A Wayward Sisters show
• An anthology series that follows different hunters and their stories (including some we know and love). Kind of like American Horror Story in a way.
• A Rufus and Bobby prequel. Recast them and follow their adventures from when they first started hunting together. They could explore those beloved characters a lot more.
• Literally anything but a John and Mary prequel :)
