i need feminism because when jesus does a magic trick it’s a goddamn miracle but when a woman does a magic trick she gets burned at the stake

fabulous

i mean they did also kill jesus. that was a pretty significant thing that happened. like i understand where you’re coming from here but they very much did kill jesus.

The idea that “idle hands are the devils tools” is so wild to me, because like it implies that if medieval people had even a second to think they would immediately abandon god and turn to sin, and everyone knew this, and it was so common they had a saying about it. Still used and relevant today

JESUS IS ENOUGH…

No need to add or subtract from Him
He is GREATER than everything that exists
All else adds up to LESS than He
He is the SUM of all things:
- the infinite
- the absolute
- the constant
Jesus is HOLY to the highest degree
If we take Jesus out of the equation, nothing adds up
Regardless of the good we multiply, how much we divide and share
A part of us remains unsolved, a fraction of who we should be
But Jesus is the answer, our common denominator
Jesus – the product of God’s love
A perfect combination of 100% God, 100% man
Intersecting the arc of human history
To be the difference, the solution we needed, the root of our salvation
No need to add, subtract, multiply or divide
Nothing greater than, everything less than
Jesus is and always will be the solution to every equation
When you do the math, the answer is clear
JESUS IS ENOUGH

God’s Amazing Love…

His love is unquestionable
Its power unconquerable
Its meaning undeniable
Its mystery unexplainable
Its sacrifice incomparable
Its price unimaginable
Its absence unthinkable

“For God so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

PALM SUNDAY…

John 12:12-18
12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! ” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”“Blessed is the king of Israel!” 14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written: 15 “Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” 16 At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him. 17 Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him.

1 John 2:24-25 ESV
Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.

Intercessors…

“It may seem odd to consider praying for those who pray, but we absolutely must pray for each other. Hell is terrified of wise, bold, and spiritually informed intercessors. Someone once said, ‘The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray. (Dutch Sheets)

2 Corinthians 4:17-18
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

christian forgiveness is used to control and shame victims into renouncing all claim to justice and restitution. it is a facade of equanimity that people are forced into so that everyone else can pretend nothing happened, that nothing must be changed, that there is nothing wrong, that there are no faults or threats except that of the victim against the aggressor, and that threat is truly the only and greatest concern. this is how they justify never taking action to prevent known threats or right any wrongs. only the victim is the real threat.

it is for enforcing the status quo. to deny that anything wrong took place, or that anything else needs to happen before everything is corrected and made right and thus forgettable.

something about mary magdalene not recognising jesus until he calls her by her name makes me crazy i dont even know how to put it into words. its as if in that moment mary remembers all the times jesus has asked her for advice or told her a joke or simply greeted her using that same name and tone and stops weeping because she knows that voice ! she has heard it mutter her name countless of times ! how could she forget !

like she recognises him instantly after he says her name! its all it takes to convince her that hes in front of her and alive again!
