Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute (CIMWI)
During the month of May 2019, Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute (CIMWI), our all-volunteer nonprofit organization rescued 62 starving California sea lion pups and we are in a crisis situation providing medical and rehabilitation care for these animals. We continue to rescue more starving pups each day. We urgently need fish to fill our freezer so we can nurse these animals back to health and return them to the wild. Fish costs $1 a pound. Our goal is to raise $22,000.CIMWI a 501©(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to positively impacting conservation through marine mammal rescue, rehabilitation, research and education to promote ocean and human health. CIMWI serves Santa Barbara & Ventura counties in Southern California.
They rescue elephant seal pups too. These babies were rehabilitated and released just two days ago!
If you can help donate, here is the link for CIMWI’s donation page
If you don’t have any funds to spare but can spread the word that is helpful too!

Celebrating The First #RA50Auctions Success – Incorporating Evening Update Day 3
You probably didn’t hear it here first. But for the record – i.e. the complete documentation for the unlikely (?) event of ever having to prove my credentials to any commercial entity again – I’ll post it here, too:
Master Guylty can now tell his future grandchildren that he once wore an item worth €6,000…
The speechlessness continues. I mean, thanks to all you generous people, I have come to…
Woohooo! Wonderful news, I’m amazed at everyone’s generosity!
If you want to donate somewhere to help out people in Ukraine but are unsure which charities are legitimate, both Charity Navigator and NPR have lists of vetted charities. Links below:
I personally donated to the CARE Ukraine Crisis Fund which provides immediate aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance, primarily for women, girls, families, and elderly people.
Sales Update!
We are so impressed and touched by everyone who has shared our posts and visited our shop. Our goal is to sell 100 coloring books each, which keeps costs low and makes the maximum donation to our charities. In our first 10 days we are doing AMAZING!!! We have 3 weeks left to meet our goal.
Reblog this post and help spread awareness! Thank you for your continued support. You are all absolutely MARVELous!!!
♂️A couple FAQ’s about the books.
- We ship WORLDWIDE.
- There are bulk discounts so check out “promotions” in the shop.
- If you order a PDF we will email it to you in May.
- There is the option to donate a book back to the event. If a creator of the book or a fan cannot afford a book, we have created a program to gift one to them. Thank you!

This December, we’re helping raise money for Polar Bear International. Spread the word! If you’re in the US or Canada and have a few extra bucks, throw some their way. They’re doing good work to protect some good bears.
