i will forever be in tears about the death of Sam Cortland. He was one of my favourite characters and he just had such an amazing soul. He loved celaena so much and i just always pictured them growing old together. When aelin visits his grave and says “you would’ve made a great king” absolutely broke me and i’m definitely NOT ok.
The trope where a character has lots of scars and is given the opportunity to heal them but while the healer is doing their thing the character looks at a particular scar and goes “No, not this one.” because it reminds them of something they survived will ALWAYS, ALWAYS SERVE
Rereading Heir of Fire and read the first time Manon says “from now until darkness claims us” let’s just say I’m in tears. Had to close the book and put it down, I need a moment.
I bought the e-book last night and stayed up until morning to read it.
Words can’t express how much I love this series. Was this book everything I hoped it would be? No. That doesn’t mean I didn’t love it.
I am so grateful to Sarah J. Maas for writing this series, for letting me be a part of the incredible world she created, and for the characters that I grew to love so much.
