Bruce could feel the exhaustion all the way down to his bones. He pulled the charger to a stop in the station and climbed out. He had been worried that he had not parked it on high enough ground, but luckily it was still there when he got back. He did not want to think about how upset Y/N would have been if he had lost it. He was trying, and failing, to not think about her; about the scream she had let out when the guy sliced her shoulder open, all the blood that had soaked her shirt, the look of pain on her face each time she moved.
Loved this!! They’re so cute I adore how much they take care of each other, and I love that she asked Bruce to teach her some self-defense, I’d love to see that in a future chapter! ☺️

“Thank you.” Y/N smiled at the driver as he offered her his hand and helped her out of the car. He smiled back and nodded as he shut the door behind her. She glanced around at the crowds of people gathered outside the venue. They were standing behind metal barriers like they had been at the memorial earlier in the week. Most of them were gathered in front of the large screens that had been set up to broadcast the show to the people unable to get tickets.
This was so so GOOD!!!! Definitely one of my favorite chapters thus far, it was so action-packed and fun to read, and I loved getting to see mrs wayne be such a badass in her own right! Ugh I love this story I don’t want it to end!!!

Y/N shut the last of the renewal files and threw it back on the pile before pinching the bridge of her nose. None of them had given her any clues as to why the Riddler was so obsessed with the renewal fund. She crinkled her nose at the smell of motor oil on her hands and glanced at the clock in the corner of the computer screen. It was only half past five and Bruce had left at dusk. Reading through the files had taken less time than she expected. She pushed the chair back from the desk and glanced around the station. The only thing she could work on was the bike and she was no closer to figuring out the problem that had stopped her continuing the night of the bomb. She heaved a sigh before standing on her stiff legs and reaching out to switch off Bruce’s music that she had been playing to occupy the part of her mind that was not taken up by reading. The sudden lack of Kurt Cobain’s voice made the station seem emptier than normal so she hurried over to the elevator.

Y/N woke with a start. She reached down to her waist and threaded her fingers with Bruce’s to prove to herself that he was with her. She could feel his chest moving against her back with each breath he took and tried to match his breathing. Her nightmare had been so real. The bomb went off just like it had the other night, but this time she had been too late to get to Alfred and the Riddler had shown up instead of the police. He had been after her, so she could pay for the sins of her parents. She somehow knew Bruce was coming for her, but that he would not be there in time.

You’re sitting so close to him, with your head leaning on his shoulder and his big leather jacket wrapped around your body, yet you’re still chilly. Your bare legs are covered in goosebumps, and upon self reflection you realise that wearing only a flimsy pair of pyjamas to visit your boyfriend in the cold basement of his tower probably wasn’t the best idea.
Bruce is fine, though, his body having adapted to the frigid air in the two years he’s spent down here. Still, you’re shocked by the fact that he’s wearing only an oversized black shirt and a pair of sweats.
This is the cutest thing ever, it’s just perfect!!!! Stumbling, awkward, flustered Bruce is everything ugh I just wanna hug him I seriously love the way you write his character so much, it’s always so good and this was so soft and sweet my heart cannot take it gonna go cry in a corner now bye

Y/N could not sit still. After she heard Bruce leave the apartment she gathered the suit up and took it back down to the station. She looked it over for anything that might need fixing, but for once the suit was in immaculate condition. She tried carrying on with the repairs on the car, but she was forced to stop when her hands would not stop shaking. So, she went back upstairs and started attempting to clean the main room. She gathered up all the crime scene photos and organised them into separate piles on the table. She had no idea how to even start trying to get spray paint off the floor, so she just swept up all the glass and debris before wiping the dust off all the surfaces.

Y/N woke first again. She could feel the heat emanating from Bruce behind her, but it confused her that no part of his body was actually touching her. It had taken about a month after they first slept together for him to get over his fear of physical affection, but since then, there had not been a night where he was not wrapped around her in someway come morning. She turned over to find him lying on his front, and she could see why as soon as she looked him over. His back was mottled with blue-purple bruises. Apparently he had not been completely fine after his fall. She propped herself up to get a better look at his back when she caught sight on the smaller bruises on the forearm and bicep of his right arm. She thought she knew what they were from, but she rested her fingertips against them to make sure. It was only when she looked back up at his face that she realised he was watching her.
So good!!!! I loved the “keeping him laughing meant keeping him Bruce Wayne” line so much!! And her helping with his bruises is so soft and cute Bruce saying that if it came to it, they’d go to see her parents together was so sweet, I’m super excited to see if that happens, can’t wait for the next part !!
