OC: Xhara from the Avatar the last Airbender fandom
Facts:
She is the sun spirit keeping the sun alive and the fire Nation afloat the only problem… she’s from the northern water tribe and has no control of her abilities. Though she is not much harm they treat her as a hostage in fear the fire Nation will capture and use her to strengthen them.
She wants no part in the war and only uses her fire bending when absolutely necessary. She is also able to bring enhanced growth to plants and flowers (being the sun) but that’s all she can do with the earth.
Joined team avatar to escape the northern water tribe and though treated unfairly she still wants to make sure they are safe from the fire Nation and often feels guilty for the nation’s crimes
She can be very sweet and very reserved. She could spend her life in a library or a garden and be happy. She loves reading and is a genius but puts most of that into the study of flowers and plants. She might be nice but she is also snappy and reckless at times especially when people try to control her that is typically when she will control the most.

(aaand probably some sort of plot twist, like toph is going undercover and uses the ‘innocent helpless blind girl’ disguise while aang is himself part of some illegal business or organization that uses the shop as a disguise)
(I just developed a whole plot around this, sorry)
(also, it’s some sort of modern with powers! au)
so. toph is probably sent to check up on the strange actions around the area of shop. such a nice worker there clearly puts her on edge. she wavers between believing his nice (almost too nice) demeanor and just stalk him to clear things up.
aang as a person who is somewhat undercover himself but worked quite a bit in the shop is on guard with the new face in the neighborhood, even if it is some blind harmless girl.
but story gets further, clues piles up, inconsistencies show up. there would be scene like this:
(they accidentally catch each other doing something probably illegal)
toph: *stares in his direction*
aang: *stares at toph*
toph: oh for fuck’s sake, twinkle toes
only after this they start to become closer (they were not even friends before that) and probably somewhat in the process one of them catches feeling

Airbenders can hear inconceivable frequencies and hear every sound as complex as a drawn out symphony.
Waterbenders can smell things that would be faint to anyone else.
Firebenders learn the deep complexity to the spectrum of light from childhood.
And Sokka… is pretty handy with a boomerang.
(or, bending has a place in even the most mundane places of a bender’s life, but the spirits didn’t leave non-benders without any advantage)
