We’ve had a good year in general and Australia is desperately trying to make up for the wheat, rice and vegetable oil shortfall worldwide, and have pulled in a record harvest, but our population is insignificant compared to that of the countries affected by war at present, and then there is the cost of shipping it long distances to wherever it needs to go from an island continent. Feed grains, intended for livestock rather than human consumption, is also more expensive, so your locally produced meat is also costlier.

India has banned export of its own wheat.
Both the US and Iraq have reduced wheat harvest due to drought.
